Winter around the World Championship Town of Schladming

All skiing areas - Planai, Hochwurzen, Reiteralm or Hauser Kaibling – can be easily reached within a few driving minutes. We also provide a ski shuttle; it will carry you directly to the base stations. Take advantage of our new Ski Rental: Hotel Sonnschupfer offers skis, boots and other winter sports equipment for your skiing holidays – before your arrival please inform us about your size.



If you prefer other activities out in the open we can help you to arrange for example a horse-sleigh ride or a snowshoe hike.

180 kilometers of beautiful cross-country trails are waiting for you, as well as 86 lifts and 160 kilometres of slopes in the Dachstein-Tauern Region. Schladming’s reputation as an international venue is based on the hosting of more than 30 FIS Alpine ski world cup races and the 1993 Special Olympics World Winter Games. It is also a candidate city for the alpine ski world championships 2013.
