Enns Cycle Path Schladming – Cycling along the Enns

The Enns Cycle Path is a popular cycling route in Austria, which runs along the Enns River and is particularly suitable for leisurely cyclists and families. In the Schladming-Dachstein region, it offers flat, well-developed tracks with beautiful scenery.

You can join the 263 km long Enns Cycle Path just a few meters from the Bikehotel Sonnschupfer in Schladming. Schladming is the endpoint of the 1st stage and the starting point of the 2nd stage. Along the cycle path, there are numerous attractions to discover!

Enns Cycle Path

Tip: Between Admont and Schladming / Ramsau am Dachstein, a return transfer including bike transport is offered every Wednesday from the end of May to the beginning of October. The bike shuttle is free with the Schladming-Dachstein Card!


All cycling enthusiasts can ride the Enns Cycle Path through all three federal states of Salzburg, Styria, and Upper Austria, for example, with six daily stages along the Enns and discover the magnificent landscapes.

Stages of the Enns Cycle Path

Enns Cycle Path 1st Stage
Easy | Distance: 38.27 km | Ascent: 453 m | Descent: 736 m | Duration approx. 3.5 hours

Starting from the origin in Flachauwinkl through Flachau, Altenmarkt, Radstadt, Mandling (here you go from the state of Salzburg into the green Styria) and continue on to Schladming.

Enns Cycle Path 2nd Stage
Medium | Distance: 40.73 km | Ascent: 479 m | Descent: 564 m | Duration approx. 4 hours
This stage leads through Upper Styria from Schladming over Haus im Ennstal, past Pruggern, along Gröbming to Öblarn and Niederöblarn until the destination is reached in Irdning.

Enns Cycle Path 3rd Stage
Medium | Distance: 40.47 km | Ascent: 331 m | Descent: 346 m | Duration approx. 3 hours
The route continues to the town of Liezen via Ardming to Admont. The Gesäuse National Park and the Admont Abbey are in focus during this section.
