Tour description

Panorama Runde, a circular tour from Schladming over the Ramsau Plateau to the southern walls of Dachstein and back to the Bachlalm in Filzmoos - returning via Mandling to Schladming, starting point from the Hotel Sonnschupfer.

Our starting point for the Panorama Runde, a circular tour from Schladming over the Ramsau Plateau to the valley station of the Dachstein Goldel and a detour to the Bachlalm in Filzmoos and back via Mandling to Schladming is the Hotel Sonnschupfer in Schladming.

In Schladming, you first head towards Untere Klaus, where the first ascent to Birnberg takes place. Now it's over varied paths to Rössl, past the parking lot of the Silberkarklamm to the snack station Fliegenpilz. From there, an inviting gravel path leads toward Ramsau-Kulm, where you cycle a short stretch along the asphalt road and then further up to Kulmberg. Once at the top, you can already enjoy the magnificent panorama of Ramsau with the southern walls of Dachstein.

Next, there is a beautiful forest path leading down to Ramsau-Schildlehen, where the next ascent towards Gasthaus Edelbrunn awaits. The moderately steep climb to the Dachstein valley station is a bit demanding, but from the Brandalm, you will be rewarded with a stunning view of Dachstein.

Now follows the most scenic part of the tour - the route leads over alpine and meadow paths at the foot of the striking southern walls of the Dachstein massif towards Bachlalm. With a bit of luck, you might spot curious marmots there.

From there, a paved alpine road winds down to the Filzmooser Landesstraße, which you follow for 2 km. Before the Auwirt inn, you turn right onto a gravel road that leads to a turquoise reservoir. Now begins the final, initially very steep ascent, which leads up through a forest. Passing the Mandlberggut, an alpine path takes you downward to Mandling, from where you can comfortably cycle back to Schladming on the Ennsradweg R7.
